About Virginia Katsimpiri
This is something wise I learnt in my early corporate career years…
I started out as an in-house translator to a bi-monthly military review, but as we say, “Nothing is more permanent than the temporary.” I was promoted in less than 3 years to a program manager assistant position handling the communication with foreign companies for a Aerodefence Company.
When the economic crisis hit Greece, too soon I realized that this was not what I wanted to do. But I wasn’t ready to leave the safety of an in-house position in one of the biggest Greek companies. It wasn’t until I took a salary cut that I realized…
The only reason I was doing this job was the money. I worked two years as a freelancer to finally realize that the situation in Greece with agencies is not what I needed in terms of rates and cooperation. Then, I decided to launch my own agency in the business heart of Athens. Since then, I haven’t regretted my decision for even a second.
This decision not only helped to have the income I’ve always wanted and to work for clients of my choice, but also offered me the freedom to create the lifestyle I had always dreamt of. Being active in the international translation community, being an invited speaker to international conferences, start my coaching business, teaching a course for international associations and CPD companies, having students from all over the world and being able to visit exotic places and travel most of the time.
If this is the lifestyle you’ve been dreaming of, I’m here to help you create it by sharing my 13+ years of experience in the field. If this is not what you need let’s discuss your needs and create a tailored strategy according to your needs.
I’m sharing all of my experience, failures and achievements, my knowledge and tips and tricks to take you where you want to go!

I had tried a couple of things to improve my profile and posted things with a certain frequency. I didn't get many results though, and was starting to think that LinkedIn just wasn't working for my niche. However, Virginia has been able to give me some very good suggestions, we had a very creative 1.1 session and the group dynamic was brilliant to hold me accountable and stick to the weekly tasks. After implementing the things we were seeing in the course I immediately started to get some results and have actually been able to find new clients with actual projects while the program was still going on. So I'd definitely recommend the ULPS.
More than three! 1. Lots of input to improve my profile. 2. I was a bit reluctant to pay for Sales Navigator because I have many expenses and not much income, but I can see it is really useful. I hope it pays off soon. 3. Lots of ideas for content that are easier to implement than the ones I usually think of. 4. Learning to use automation tools helps a lot to run the first stage of prospecting automatically, it saves a lot of time. 5. Although I still have to work on it, the importance of changing your mindset.
I turned to Virginia's Programme because, in spite of my 15+ year experience in translation, I lacked the confidence to target my ideal clients. The Programme helps you define your target market and delve deeper into your ideal client's needs and pains. This will provide you with a powerful tool to address your target clients with the right messages. I would definitely recommend Virginia's mentorship if you want to take your translation business to the next levee whether you are a beginner or an experienced translator.
ULPS was extremely useful for my business: not only it boosted my network, but also made me reach many potential clients that I could have never reached in person in a so short period of time! I absolutely recommend it: Virginia is the perfect mentor to show all the details and solve any doubts! A unique experience that has changed my path! Words can't describe how thankful I am.
I highly recommend it because if you implement the strategy and contact a certain number of prospects per day, you will see results.
Thanks to the mentoring program I had a process to follow and took action to take my translation business to the next level. As a starting out translator, I had many questions. I got direct feedback on the texts I wrote, Virginia will tell you everything that you should change and give you ideas on how to improve your profile. The mentoring program is quite time-consuming when you take it seriously, but it has been a true game changer for me. Being successfull requires many business skills that are never taught in university. Thanks to Virigina, I got a huge step further and know what I want to do next.
During the ULPS, I discovered the value of having a mentor and weekly accountability - it's worth the investment. Doors will start to open for you as you are guided in a meaningful way by Virginia's amazing mentoring skills and in-depth knowledge of our industry. LinkedIn doesn't seem so scary any more, now, and I realised how useful a tool it will prove to be.
Do you need a support group to revamp your Linkedln profile and the way you think about and use Linkedln? Virginia provides a kind and positive environment where we move step-by-step with weekly goals. We ask questions, exchange ideas and stories on the dedicated Facebook group and support each other along the way. I've made terrific progress in such a short period, highly recommended!
I had been looking for a comprehensive client acquisition program, more specifically using Linkedln. I knew that I wanted to grow my business and that it was possible, but I felt like I lacked the tools and knowledge of specific prospecting methods. This is what Virginia and the ULPS offered. I entered the program with no clear path and left with a concrete strategy to follow. Thank you, Virginia!
Virginia is for sure the best mentor I could ever had. Being always friendly and self- confident, fully-available, rich in details & very competent, she had led me to reach my goals! I am absolutely satisfied and I will continue regularly to follow her method. I felt really supported and encouraged to follow my ideal clients, and I have already gained some of them! Take action, do not wait!
Virginia has all the necessary skills and passion to help you get where you want, but you need to work hard and be dedicated all along the way.
At a certain point in their professional path, many translators reach a limit, where they have to either continue to chase any odd job, hoping to make ends meet, or scale up and expand their work. Most of us simply don't know how to do that, and this is where Virginia comes in.
She has insightful, hands-on, deeply personalized advice about every step a translator needs to take in order to climb to the next level of their career and forever forget about the insecurities of the freelancer's work, but instead have a steady workflow in areas that they actually enjoy. Virginia's detailed, no-nonsense approach, combined with the ample free materials she shares on her channels, open new horizons and offer an abundance of priceless knowledge for her mentees. I personally couldn't be happier that I was given a chance to receive her guidance and learn how to take the next step in my translator's career.
The support from Virginia was great because, as everything in life there are ups and downs and as a starting out translator you can get quite demotivated but she helped me by emphasising my strengths and professionalism. She also gave lots of tips on how to reply to clients, both agencies and companies. The group support was also amazing because you get to have all the tips and experiences of other translators. Overall, as a starting out translator I really enjoyed the programme; I cannot expect results overnight but at least I have a method to create my own success over time.
If you are ready to grow and learn to market your services to your ideal clients, this program will teach you step-by-step how to do that. You will leave with the mindset and a suite of tools to succeed. Yes, it is an investment, but you will leave taking action. Without action, you (and your business!) cannot grow. The group is challenging and encouraging, and one of » the best things about this program. And * even though the mentoring takes place in a group, the coaching and advice is tailored to your specific situation and goals.
If you are fumbling in the dark, you're willing to tackle the market and its challenges but you don’t know where to start or how to value your services, this is the programme you need!
I would definitively recommend it, if they want to get to the next level - to get clear where they are headed, what they actually want and to go for it with a step-by-step process, that helps you along the way.
The FBTF is truly the best thing I could have ever done to start my translation career. I had the opportunity to learn from someone as experienced as Virginia and the rest of the participants. To me, the most valuable thing about the program was how I felt that Virginia really wanted me to succeed. She was to help me with whatever I needed whenever I needed it, and she always willing to share her own experience and knowledge. Learning from the tips and advice from experienced and an expert in marketing for translators like Virginia is priceless
I loved that the course was relatively short (only 4 sessions) but very concise and practical it's great idea to have the teaching module beginning of the week, and then follow with session couple days later. I appreciate the fact that virginia shared her screen to teach about the search options and also discussed the process she applies when looking for and contacting the clients. There are many courses about ll, but virginia's course is tailored specifically to translators and this is a great added value, because it focuses on their needs and perspective.
The course is mainly aimed at people who have no experience for linkedin. If that is you, this will be interested, but as soon as you know how to use the search filters, maybe you won't learn that many new things. Yet, this course is interesting to take, because virginia also explains how to define your target audience and how that can contribute to expanding your network on linkedin.
This program is specifically thought for language professionals, you'll have the opportunity to get to know linkedin, if you don't use it yet, and to optimise your sales management through linkedin. It's an effective investment of time, you'll realise how much you could have done with an optimised linkedin profile. This course rewires a lot of self-analysis of your current business situation. It's worth it!
FBTF was a real challenge, but it helped me to go out from my comfort zone in this particular period (due to Covid) of my professional career. "if you see all grey, move the elephant": that's what I did with FBTF. It changed completely my mindset thanks to Virginia's attitude and competence: I owe all my successes to her method! I have no words to say thank you, Virginia. Of course I would recommend the programme to anybody who would like to scale up! I wish I had this opportunity before, but that's life...better late than never! Now I have all the right tips and tricks to follow my dreams!
Virginia knows very well what you want to get, as she is a translator as well, but she knows very well what your clients want to know from you. She doesn't give you the fish, she is teaching you to fish. Of course, the final results will depend on you, but I like people who make you go the extra mile, because otherwise you don't improve. And there's always room for improvement! I recommend signing up for this course, but first you need to be very sure of what you want.
It's very well structured in the 4 modules, with enough time in between to digest and work on the information provided. Anyone who is looking to have a better understanding of linkedin should take this course as it is very straight forward.
You should join this course because you will learn how to use your linkedin account to contact and attract new potential clients.

Virginia's "Starting out as a Translator" challenge has really given me so much confidence in my own abilities as a Translator and has now shown me how to enter the big wide world of business.
Virginia was incredibly engaging and gave us a lot of useful tips. Her challenge was really inspiring and helped me to clear some aspects of my buseness up.
I'm really thankful for the excellent job Virginia is doing. She is a successful Translator, as well as a passionate mentor. Her advices go straight to the point and i can tell honestly that i'm sure of the more than positive results of Virginia's mentoring activity, both for the mentees and for Virginia, as a person and as a professional.
Thanks again for your work, patience and kindness, it really is precious when starting out!
Virginia's challenge was very useful and detailed. She gave us many tips and worksheets to work on every week's task, and her Q&A session was always interesting and full of concrete pieces of advice. Virginia gave us many more ideas to work on and this also helped me improve everything i already had, like my CV and my Cover Letter, but also my linkedin profile.
